Don’t let the looks fool you. Mister Mobility has spent time with this stunning beauty from OPPO and concludes that it is both stunning beauty and powerful beast wrapped up in one package. His OPPO F11 Pro review provides all the details you won’t get elsewhere.
If ever a smartphone was designed to get and keep your attention, the OPPO F11 Pro is one. From the the gorgeous, notchless edge-to-edge display to the gradient finish at the back, to the motorized pop-up selfie camera, this smartphone is a looker. But here at MobilityArena, we don’t judge a book only by its cover, so we dived into using the phone and quickly found out that it is more than the sum of its many sterling parts.

OPPO F11 Pro Review: Quick Pros And Cons
Before we dive into the review proper, starting with the major pros and cons of this device.
There are more pros to the F11 Pro than cons. As a matter of fact, it is hard to nail it for any serious shortcomings. The lack of bass in loudspeaker audio is perhaps the only weakness I can point to.
On the other hand, it shines in terms of looks, build, networks support, performance, photography, and battery life.
OPPO F11 Pro Review: In the box
The box is a simple, white, compact affair. Opened up, these are the items we found inside:
- OPPO F11 Pro smartphone in Thunder Black colour.
- 3-pin VOOC 3.0 wall power adapter.
- USB cable
- Transparent silicon case.
- Quick guide.
- SIM slot ejector tool.
- 3.5 mm audio headset.
OPPO F11 Pro Review: Hardware And Design
The beautiful 3D gradient glass finish of the F11 Pro is what will catch your attention first long before you experience the pop-up selfie camera or any of its other solid qualities. Another word that people have used in response to seeing the phone for the first time is “Wow!”. We got a “Stunning” response too. And they are all appropriate.
The OPPO F11 Pro is a show stopper any day. Of course, the back cover is a fingerprint magnet, as most phones with a premium finish are these days.
OPPO F11 Pro Review: Software
The F11 Pro runs ColorOS 6.0, which is based on Android 9 Pie. ColorOS does away with the Android app drawer and puts all your apps on the home screen. You swipe left to access them. When you swipe right, what you get is OPPO’s Smart Assistant pane, which provides you with tools and information that are curated and customised for you.
For example, it pesents you with Quick Functions, Step tracker to keep track of your fitness goals, favourite contacts, and more. The drop-down menu is skinned too.
There are some pre-installed apps, including Clone Phone (for migrating your data and files to a new phone), Recorder, Compass, FM Radio, Theme Store, Phone Manager, and Music party (which syncs multiple phones to play the same song). I was itching to try out Music Party but couldn’t find it to download for the smartphones available to us. Apparently, it is an OPPO exclusive. Bummer.
OPPO F11 Pro Review: Network And Telephony
This is a dual-SIM smartphone with support for dual 4G LTE. Does it support Glo 4G? Yes; it does. One of the SIM cards I used in it was a Glo SIM and 4G popped up immediately for use.
How about telephone calls? Voice calls are solid, with good audio at both ends of the calls. Of course, there is SMS and MMS support.
OPPO F11 Pro Review: Display And Multimedia
The 6.5″ display is very good and watching video content on it is a pleasant experience, as is reading and viewing pictures. Being 6,5 inches in size helps too. Big displays are better for content consumption or creation.
Music playback is a good experience too. Audio quality is good, though there is a distinct lack of bass in the audio from the loudspeaker. But in fairness to the F11 Pro, most phones in this price range suffer from that too. And in terms of loudness, you won’t be missing anything. It is loud enough.
I particularly love how the album art of a playing track fills up the beautiful display – all of it. Have a look:
OPPO F11 Pro Review: Photography
The OPPO F11 Pro has two interesting cameras – hidden away from sight is a 16 megapixel selfie camera that slides up from the top end of the phone when you switch the camera app to selfie mode, while at the back is a dual camera that combines a 48 megapixel lens with a 5 megapixel secondary lens.
Above: the motorized pop-up selfie camera at the front.

OPPO F11 Pro Review: Multitasking And Performance
With a Helio P70 chip and 6 GB of RAM on the inside, we never had any issues with performance. This is a smooth runner and app junkies will love it.
There is 128 GB of storage space built into the phone. If for any reason, you need more space, you can add a microSD card, though that means you will give up the second SIM card slot for it.
The fingerprint reader is quite fast and has given no issues with registering or recognizing prints.
OPPO F11 Pro Review: Battery life
Charging the 4000 mAh battery with the VOOC 3.0 charger in our first charging test, it went from 18% to 61% battery level in 30 minutes flat.
Next, we emptied the battery and started charging it from zero with the phone switched off. In 30 minutes, we had 49% battery, and 80% in 54 minutes. After 1 hour and 24 minutes, the battery hit 100%.
The battery life of the F11 Pro is solid, especially with the built-in Smart Power Saver feature enabled. We easilly registered more than a full day of use on a full charge.
OPPO F11 Pro Review: Verdict
The OPPO F11 Pro is a very solid smartphone that ticks almost every box. It has great looks, has great cameras, has great performance, supports all 4G LTE networks here, has a massive internal storage, has great battery life and fast charging times. There is very little to criticize about it.
At the end of the review, we like it much better than we did when we first met it at the launch event. Which is saying something.
It will set you back by N139,000 though, which is a little pricey compared to devices with similar capabilities. But what sets the F11 Pro aside from the competition is the solid build and premium touch in the finishing. You will find more affordable phones with similar features in the market, but very few can touch the F11 Pro in terms of class and tasteful finishing.
This is a product designed for those who want their smartphone to set them aside. That class of people is a smaller segment of society, but they will appreciate everything that the F11 Pro represents.
And so, we have come to the end of this OPPO F11 Pro review. If you have questions, I will be gald to answer them, as I still have the device with me for a few more days before we have to send it back.
