A new Nigerian mobile brand, Orbra, have announced two new devices – the Avalanche, a Cortex A7 1.2GHz quad-core Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean smartphone sporting a 4.7-inch display, and the Inferno, a Cortex A7 1.2GHz quad-core Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean 7-inch tablet.
Avalanche: 4.7-inch smartphone
The Avalanche comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It is a Dual SIM, Dual standby device. There is 1GB RAM, 8GB Internal Storage and external memory support, with a 16GB SD card included. Battery is rated at 2500 mAh. The Avalanche costs N45,000.00.
Inferno: 7-inch tablet
The Inferno tablet has the same internals as the Avalanche, and a 4850mAh battery. The rear camera is 8 megapixels though. The Infoerno supports USB-on-the-go and is 3G enabled, with dual SIM, dual standby too. Price: N50,000.00.
It is not clear at this time if Orbra mobile devices are running a heavily skinned version of Android or what we see in the images are just a home launcher. We are hoping to get our hands on a unit for a full fledged review here on Mobility.ng.

Good-looking devices but they look closely like Samsung Galaxy devices. Especially, the tablet resembles Galaxy Note 8 or the new Galaxy Tab 3 -7inch.

The mobile phones isn’t so bad and the pricing is just ok. That tablet at N50,000 is a different story
