Nokia Technologies have just announced a new product, a virtual reality (VR) camera. How does this work? This camera is shaped like a ball and has eight shutter sensors in all to capture videos in 360-degrees, It also has eight integrated microphones.
This camera also has the ability to display in realtime (through a VR headset) what it’s recording. It can also produce a low-resolution version of current footage if the user wants to see it immediately or show someone else. Nokia claims this is a (commercial) first of it’s kind. The OZO is still undergoing testing, will the available for purchase before the end of the year. President of Nokia Technologies, Ramzi Haidamus:
