Nowadays, the risk of losing the data on your smartphone increases daily. However, if you make a backup of your data, you do not need to worry about it. Most people back up their data to the cloud. And this is quite commendable. However, what if you do not have access to cloud backup? You could back up your data to your PC. That’s what PhoneRescue is for. It helps you recover data you might have accidentally deleted, or data that ended up corrupted for some reason, and it does that effortlessly and for a wide variety of phones.
Here’s how it works. Upon downloading the PhoneRescue software, you will need to select your preferred language. The software supports English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese and Arabic. After that, you will see a list of options for what types of data you want to recover. These options are selected by default, but you can unselect them if you want to. The options include Contacts, Call Logs, Messages, Calendar, Photos, Music, Videos, App Documents, WhatsApp chat records and attachments, and LINE chat records and attachments.
PhoneRescue will ask for permission to access different types of data on your device. This is important, so you can let the software scan your device and retrieve the data you want. Once you grant it permission, the software will begin to scan your device. Now, you could choose either a quick scan or a deep scan. However, the deep scan option requires your phone to be rooted, but it will find more data. When it is done, you can choose what format to export the recovered data in. there are multiple options for the file type you would want to use when exporting messages, calendar, contacts and LINE chats. Media files will be exported in the same format that they came in.
One more important feature of the PhoneRescue tool is that you can recover the data for Messages, Contacts, Call Logs and Calendar directly onto an Android smartphone or tablet. Also, you can use it to remove the lock screen from your device, in case you forget your PIN or password. All in all, PhoneRescue is a good app to have around.
