Android phones that look similar to iPhone 15 Pro

If you live in the United States, it might come as a surprise to you that there is a growing handful of Android phones that look similar to iPhone 15 Pro, replicating these features.

The design of the iPhone 15 Pro has become sort of iconic. Two aspects of the design that stand out and have been copied by other phone brands are the triangular camera module on the rear and the flat sides of the phone. It is the same camera module design that we saw on the iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro, so it has become something of a signature design for the iPhone.

Of course, those phones will never be sold in the United States, the UK, Australia, Japan, and other core markets where Apple has a firm legal footing, as I am sure the boys at Cupertino would have something to say about them, otherwise. Let’s have a look at some of these phones and what they bring to the table.

All of the Android smartphones on this list have that distinct triangular camera module design at the back. Some of them also have the flat edges of the iPhone 15 Pro, and some have even gone further to re-create a dynamic island style feature on the display. Let us have a look.

Starting with the Spark 20C, then the Spark 20, and all the way to the Spark 20 Pro, TECNO Spark 20 series are Android smartphones that look like iPhone 15 Pro. That rear camera module arrangement is present. The flat edges is present. And to top off with some cream on the cake, there is an implementation of the dynamic island on it. Called the dynamic port, it isn’t anywhere ear as functional as the iPhone’s, but it looks cool for sure. And we know that cool factor sells phones.

TECNO Spark Go 2024

The Spark Go 2024 is exactly the same phone as the TECNO Pop 8 featured above. It just bears a different name. Why? Don’t ask me; I have no idea myself. As we say, it is what it is.

A few last words

Here is the interesting thing: TECNO, itel, and Infinix are all brands under the Transsion group, a Chinese company. All three of these brands are clearly actively pursuing a policy of making entry-level and budget phones that look similar to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, or iPhone 12 Pro. Of course, they also produce more premium phones that have their own distinct designs, but at the low end, their strategy seems to be to offer phones that are iPhone lookalikes.

The practice is not strange to Xiaomi either. The company started out many years ago by making phones that specifically ape the iPhone. I owned and used a few of those early models.

Anyway, none of these phones that look similar to iPhone 15 Pro are available in the United States of America, Canada, Australia, or even much of the European Union. But if you live in India, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Kenya, or other countries in the Africa and Asia regions, you will be able to buy these iPhonesque Redmi, TECNO, Infinix, and itel phones – for much less than the most pocket-friendly iPhone you can buy, brand new.
