Some Background

PlirisMobile tells us that their man, Femi Alade, designed, built and patented the dual SIM 3G radio used in the device here in Nigeria. Which sounds impressive. PlirisMobile works with a Hong Kong based factory to put the hardware components together, while final OS install is done in Abuja.

Impressive. And there is more, but I will be bringing those juicy details to you in my review article.

I will be reviewing this device in the next one week and will have my findings published as always.

  1. Interesting, let’s see how this one stacks up.

Could have done better with the sales package though, IMO, the screen preview looks a lot like HTC’s sense UI

  2. I want to see the market price sir. I would love to own this device I want to add an android to my list of devices.
    Finally
    nigeria is there

  3. Hmmm … I’m looking forward to the review. The name itself got my attention + the dual sim . . .

Could be what I’m looking for. Pls include current market price.

  4. most startups may have to look like what they admired most.no bigdeal.this femi guy must be commended sofar.how ever,i hope he has done is market analysis well.he should be weary of spoilers like ZTE, G TIDE, HUWAWEI, and TECNO. Tecno is planing to come out with a spoiler-price point android phone under 25k. this same guys with thier spoiler mentality put an accelerometer in a java phone for under 15k.
i pray they dont knock off our own

  5. Great specs but the pricing and build quality really matters. I think it shouldnt be more than 30k…otherwise…..

  6. to me even 30k, would be or the high side, something like this should be pushed like the MTN and Etisalat devices.

  7. @ayeni and martinkem
This is should be above 30. Hw much do you think an android phone is sold for. Am thinking it should be 40k at least. Remember the 4. Inch screen.

  8. i dare say im impressed. looks a bit like a lower midrange class phone. i hope they utilise a good price strategy as their main selling point. hopefully they could provide support for this device which should see upgrade for ice cream sandwich available, Kudos PLIRISMOBILE

  9. Wow!
    This is awesome!
    Thanks all….
This is not the HTC Sense UI, its just a Screen Locker that feels like the HTC Sense locker.

PlirisMobile has its own custom UI that will be launched in May as of now, we use the stock Android UI with some few modifications.

We will be releasing other low end devices in May ….

Also PlirisBlaze comes with some Custom Apps that makes your Android experience awesome…. would let Mobility Nigeria discover this.

  10. A 2-SIM dual standby 3G Android!, now that has to be interesting. However, Pliris might want to consider a UI/ROM replacement (insert custom ROM here) if they don’t want hTC slapping their wrists! Infact, the whole thing (packaging too)looks like some hTC knock-off!

  11. Agree, thought it was a Htc Desire S. Its cool, not too keen on android and dual sim cos if battery issues. Is it dual stand by?
700mhz..should suffice. Been spoilt by the 1ghz n dual core wonders though.
What of the gpu? How well does it handle 3D gaming.
Its a 1500mAh powered device doesn’t mean it has a powerful battery life.
What kind of screen is it? Does it conserve battery in any way?
Any plan on collaboration with out service providers for a subsidized version? Since its made by Nigerians, I would expect it to be slightly cheaper locally.
Would there be future upgrade to latest android os?
Anyway, I’m impressed someone…..now, where is Anabel mobile?

Looking forward to an exhaustive review mobility peeps…
