I got to take Samsung’s camera-centric Galaxy K Zoom for a spin last year, and I liked it. Quite a number of other liked it too. Having a powerful lens and being one of the few modern smartphones with a Xenon flash, it easily shines in the photography department. However, the Android-powered cameraphone is a bit bulky though.
Anyway, the lowdown is that Samsung will not be providing a Lollipop update to the K Zoom.
@ahmetgngr13 We don’t like to be the bearer of bad news, but the Galaxy Zoom will not be receiving the Lollipop update.

The K Zoom runs Android version 4.4.2 Kitkat and with the above verdict, it will stay that way till its death. Sad. See some of the photos that I took with it last year here, here, and here.
If I say to get WP now, people will call me a hater. Smh for Una Android folks
Samsung sha like to make android look bad… a whole k zoom no updates.. nor b say elder broda of the phone dey o
Any reason why?
Samsung’s attitude when it comes to updates is one reason a friend abandoned them. And I can’t blame him, having bought a Galaxy Tab with a known software flaw that Samsung didn’t bother to correct within the first year even after he contacted them directly.
They have a habit of not providing updates for some of their short lived devices. I was surprised they actually released another version of the Galaxy Zoom, but no further updates doesn’t surprise me at all. Guess owners of the Zoom K will have to root if they want updates.
