Safaricom Kenya recently launched 4G LTE services. Mobility Arena spoke with a few subscribers based in the nation’s capital, Nairobi. Some say that they have been unable to get 4G service on their devices. However, tech blogger of Martin Gicheru of TechWeez tweeted a speed test that he did on Safaricom’s 4G LTE network:

Apparently, the service has limited coverage for now. Safaricom Kenya is looking to provide it across the capital, Nairobi and other major cities. They are looking to push the service to subscribers via smartphones, modems and mifi. The mobile operator says they will offer up to 100 Mbps speeds on their 4G LTE service.
