Samsung Galaxy J8 has begun to receive Android 10-based One UI 2.0 update along with the latest security patch. Currently, the new software update is limited to users in Russia, but it is expected in a number of other regions in the coming weeks.

This update brings a number of features to the fore like an enhanced Dark Mode, smoother animation, new navigation gestures, and a One-handed mode. This smartphone was launched in May 2018 and was released with the Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The Galaxy J8 started receiving the Android 9-based One UI update in April of 2019.

Reports from Samsung’s official website shows this update with the version number J810FPUU4CTG3 and it also brings the July 2020 Android security patch with it. Users of this device will be automatically notified when this over-the-air update arrives on their Samsung Galaxy J8. They can also check up its availability by heading to Settings > Software Update > Download & Install.

This upgrade also brings an enhanced camera UI and new wallpapers. There is also the Trash feature for Contacts that lets deleted contacts stay on the device for an extra 15 days before permanent deletion, giving users ample time to restore these contacts.
