As per a report from SamMobile, the update carries the firmware version G770FXXU3DTL1. It has a size of 2GB and is presently rolling out in stages in Spain and India. This update has the December security patch and is expected in a number of other regions soon.

This update reportedly improves battery optimization and performance. It also brings better animation, improvements in always-on display, and chat bubbles. With this update, users will also get a dedicated media playback widget and a section for conversations in the notification shade.
