Samsung has released the Galaxy S20 Tactical Edition. This smartphone is specially designed with military operators in mind, as it is created to “support the requirements of tactical and classified applications”.
This smartphone is useful in aiding operators navigate in tough terrain, cover long distances and is still useful even in cases where there is a loss of communication. This device is similar to the civilian Samsung Galaxy S20, with a number of additional software, security features and a rugged phone case.
This device offers its users the ability to connect to tactical radios and mission systems, has a night vision mode that lets operators turn the display on or off when wearing night vision goggles. The Tactical Edition also lets operators completely operate in “stealth mode”, letting users disable LTE and mute RF broadcasting for off-grid communications.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Tactical Edition measures 68.6×152.4×7.6 mm and weighs 162 grams. This smartphone is currently available in the US, and will not be sold to the general public, as it will be made available through select IT channel partners. This device is available in a single color option, Cosmic Gray.
