Samsung has some great news for us. At Computex, the largest IT tradeshow in Asia, Samsung announced he Notebook 9 Pro. The standout feature of the convertible laptop is the S-Pen, which slides conveniently under the keyboard for storage. Now, unlike previous Notebook 9 versions, this device has a 360-degree hinge, similar to the Lenovo Yoga laptops. This means that the device can be used as both a laptop and a tablet.
The S Pen includes 4000 units of pressure and the ability to detect tilt for shading. It also includes Samsung’s Air Command software for drawing, notes and editing documents. Samsung is also ensuring that the S Pen is compatible with Windows Ink. This means that users can use the S Pen across Windows 10 devices. Furthermore, the S Pen always stays on and will never require charging.
Now, two versions of the Notebook 9 Pro have been announced. There is a 13-inch version and a 15-inch version. Both versions of the device will include Intel’s latest Core i7 processors. The 13.3-inch version will come with 8GB of RAM, while the larger version will have 16GB RAM. Both devices will include 256GB SSD. Furthermore, the 15-inch model has AD’s Radeon 450 graphics card.
The Notebook 9 Pro has two regular USB ports, a HDMI port and support for microSD storage. Also, there’s a Windows Hello camera at the front, which supports facial recognition for Windows 10 login. Furthermore, the device will support fast charging through the USB-C port.
