Posted by

Rumor has it that Microsoft will drop two new Lumia phones with top hardware later this year. These phones most probably were made for full support of Windows 10. If the leaks are correct, it seems the long wait for a high-end Lumia device will soon be over.

Lumia lineup

The first one is code-named “Cityman”, coming with the following specs:

  • 5.7 inch QHD display
  • Qualcomm-based octacore processor
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB of internal storage /microSD card slot
  • 20MP rear camera
  • 5MP front facing camera,
  • 3300 mAh battery

According to the report from Unleash the Phone the second rumored phone code-named “Talkman” has a slightly lower spec:

  • 5.2 inch QHD display
  • Qualcomm-based hexacore processor
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB of internal storage/ microSD card slot
  • 20MP rear camera
  • 5MP front facing camera,
  • 3000 mAh removable battery

Both phones will have triple -LED flash for their cameras and a 64-bit processors on board. Great stuff if you ask me. Microsoft is set to launch Windows 10 for PC later this year, with the mobile version coming after. This is just a rumor so let’s watch and see how this plays out.

  1. I DON’T CARE. As far as I’m concerned, when it comes to smartphones, Microsoft is CRAPPPP!!!

    1. Right now you are not the target Enterprise customers are the target it will happen like a chain effect.

Now from what I have seen WINDOWS 10 phones will work closely with windows on desktop Microsoft own the enterprise market and will curt them to deploy WINDOWS 10 phones to their employees increasing Windows on phones market share, encouraging more developers. And more people will start to buy lumias bcos more people will see it with corporate people and word of mouth will spread it as well.

And also Windows 10 Phones wont lag.

    2. @Michael99uk, thank you for pointing that out to AskIchtys. I don’t think he realises that Windows Phone appeal goes beyond the consumer market and personal preference.

Many organisations have changed and are changing over to Windows Phone devices. I doubt may will adopt Windows 10 in a hurry but from what I’ve seen, the phones will work well with the existing PC structures in place.

And thanks to my WP experience, I know that I will be answering a lot of questions about the new devices – sweet! 🙂

  2. good stuff, hope they sell well. Windows Mobile deserves more marketshare and mindshare

  3. Nice move if you tell me, Microsoft is watching the market keenly and are ready to take a large chunk of market share very soon….. My submission though

  4. Well, let’s wait and see. But, seriously, in my opinion, “Microsoft” and “mobile” are two parallel lines…they can’t ever meet. Remember the Kin? And from what I’ve seen in WP…
Well, for their (and your) sakes, I hope I’m wrong.
    And the name’s AskIchtHys.
