Google has once again released the state of Android report – February 2017 edition. There are not many surprises here, more of the same we have seen in previous months except for a few changes. Recall, that last month, Android Froyo left the charts after lingering on 0.1% for a long while. Gingerbread, and Ice Cream Sandwich now lurches at 1.0% .
Android Lollipop still remains king of Android users with a combined percentage of 32.9% or users. This is actually a fall of 0.5% from last month. Android 6.0 Marshmallow has risen to 30.7% of users. Hopefully in the next few months, we can expect it to skip past Android Lollipop.
Android Nougat finally hit and crossed the 1% mark. Android 7.0 and 7.1 reached a combined total of 1.2%. This same problem of fragmentation won’t leave Android anytime from now.
