CES 2020 kicked off with the announcement of 3 new TCL smartphones, TCL 10 5G, TCL 10 Pro, and TCL 10L. The company did not unveil the full specifications of these new phones, but did provide enough information to whet our appetites.

TCL 10L is the most affordable of the trio and sports a punch hole display, a rear quad camera configuration, and a fingerprint reader below it.

Next is TCL 10 Pro, with an edge AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch, an in-display fingerprint sensor, as well as a rear quad camera setup.

The big daddy of the three phones is the TCL 10 5G, the company’s first 5G smartphone. It features a punch hole display, a rear quad camera, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and is powered by the 5G-compliant Qualcomm Snapdragon 7-Series chipset.

If you are interested in these devices and want more information, you will have to wait till MWC 2020, when TCL says it will unveil them in full. But we do know for now that the phones will go on sale in the USA and Canada in Q2 2020. Starting price is under $500.

The company also teased a folding phone, though the device is far from ready for production.

TCL makes electronic gadgets, including TVs. In mobile, the company has operated as a white label supplier, making Alcatel-branded and BlackBerry-branded phones. This is the first time they are unveiling smartphones under their own brand name.
