Please people dont buy these tecno crap at least you can buy asus zenfon 2 or u can atleast save money to buy a nexus phone. These cheap mediateck crap u will never receive os update and u will stack with what u have forever for example they failed even to update tecno c8 to mashamallow

Yeah u know. Something tells me to buy this phone, something also tells me not to. But i took a whole night reviewing a lot of android phones. And to tell u the true fact, the Nexus 5, 5x, and 6 are indeed the best Android phones from Google. And if u are someone who always wants updates on Android versions. Den i think u should go in for a Google Nexus phone. Honestly though Tecno phones are not Bad but u will just get stacked at one operating system.

here we go another guy that doesn’t know what his talking about, the chipset of a phone has nothing to do with the frequency of updates it receives, that depends on the phone company whether to realease an update or not but it also depends on where you live, for the record you are better off not updating your device you risk the chances of bricking it.

I wonder if Techo Boom J8 would not give the same troubles as Camon C8. Techno Camon C8 came out with nice features but really sucks when making calls. Incoming calls usually terminate ongoing calls even when call waiting is activated. Developers, please try and rectify this problem.

Tecno Boom J8 is just an amazing phone.I have had a myriad of phones in the past from Sony,Nokia,HTC,Motorolla, Samsung and non compares to J8.

The battery retains power for long hours compared to no other phone. It is equally sleek.

Good work Tecno for challenging the big boys and coming up with the the real android phone.

Guys,i’m kind of confuse here, actually i intended to buy infinix note 2,but changed my mind cuz i felt tecno was more advance than infinix. So i checked online and i got the boom J8, i compared its features to that of infinix and decided to get the J8.
But with all this complain and dropping of calls,i don’t know if I should go ahead and buy the tecno. Guys help me out.

It is so true I am using tech c8 at this moment it is so good in everything I like the camera more than anything I think that’s even the reason I still have it. But yes THIS PHONE DROPS CALLS IT’S SO ANNOYING TO HAVE YOUR CALLS CUT BEFORE YOU FINISH YO CONVERSATION WITH THE OTHER PERSON. Sometimes it also switches off on its own or returns to the original wall paper and ring tone without my permission. It doesn’t keep those settings I made for long. Please do confirm on these issues if they r true

I have made contact with the tech people but to date have had nothing but a canned call one of two phone numbers and DO NOT WORK! I have asked for email tech support and again canned call one of two numbers. I’ve played this game for more than a week and have sent multi-pal emails with a complete LACK OF ANY REMOTE HELP I can only conclude the company cares little about the Customer after the sale. The article is very funny. And you wonder why tecno isn’t doing better. How will u produce a phone and not think of it’s use in the USA, of all places. And u’re here defending tecno and asking a buyer to go do research. Lol. This has NEVER happened with any of my phones, even much older phones and even the blackberry. Well, I’ve made this purchase, but it’s the last tecno myself or anyone I know will ever buy!

Thanks to Android’s bloated nature, all 2 GB RAM Android phones now lag. Even the newer, better optimized ones. Blame Android OS.
