The Full Picture

As you can see, they both have a metal body. Screen size and details are the same. Internal and expandable storage are the same on both devices. RAM is the same, so son’t expect any signifiant difference in multi-tasking.

The most significant upgrades from the Phantom 5 is that the Phantom 6 will run faster and smoother in use, will handle graphics heavy tasks better, and will produce more creative pictures. Other wise, we are looking at mostly the same specs and features.

As far as the debate between fingerprint and iris scanner is concerned, it is a question of personal preference. i do believe that an iris scanner is inherently more secure than a fingerprint scanner. Still, we shall call this a tie.

However, the Phantom 6 has a lower battery capacity than its predecessor. I still feel bad about the reduced battery capacity though. TECNO should just have put in a minimum of 3,000 mAh capacity in the Phantom 6. I guess it was a sacrifice made to get the Phantom 6 slimmer. Still… More details coming up in my full review tomorrow.

TECNO Phantom 5 versus Phantom 6: Verdict

In conclusion, the upgraded features in the TECNO Phantom 6 are significant. The Phantom 6 is much more powerful and capable than its predecessor. It leaves the Phantom 5 in the dust. I give it a thumbs up as a worthy upgrade, with a mild protest about the battery capacity.

No it’s not, but the plus variant is. I realized that when I was trying to pair it with another device.
