A redesign every now and then is common with car manufacturers. The 2018 Hyundai Accent is a testimony to that. It is wider, and slightly longer – resembling its Elantra sibling. The interior looks polished. In addition, there’s a 7.0-inch touchscreen on the dashboard – bearing support for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.The new Accent features an updated 1.6-liter direct injection four-cylinder engine. This generates 132 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai also claims this engine is 7 percent more fuel efficient, 32 percent stiffer . For safety, this ride offers automatic emergency braking. The pricing has yet to be revealed, but it will show up in stores, third quarter of 2017. There will be a hatchback version, that will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2017.
