Almost every cheap and affordable Android device out there is powered by a MediaTek chip. The only other alternative for cheap devices is the Spreadtrum chip. While remaining cheap and affordable, the MediaTek chip has improved over the years. It has become faster, alongside supporting the latest technologies. Their latest addition is the new MediaTek Helio P25 chip.
