It is no news that Xiaomi’s new release, the Redmi Note 7, has grabbed the attention and interest of smartphone lovers around the world. There are so many amazing features on the phone. Here, I want to list my top 5 features of the Redmi Note 7.
Here they are…
All-round Gorilla Glass 5 Protection
The all-round Gorilla Glass 5 protection is the very best of my top 5 features of the Redmi Note 7. We have seen the phone banged on a desk, cut with a knife, and dropped to the hard floor. And it survived all of those.
Most smartpones with Gorilla Glass protection have it for the screen only, but the Redmi Note 7 has it all over, front and back. Which makes it really tough to crack or shatter. We knowm, because we have seen it tested and have done some testing of our own.
I had my heart in my mouth as I dropped the phone when we were conducting our drop test and I was glad that it survived. That won my heart for sure and puts the Gorilla Glass protection at the very top of my top 5 features of the Redmi Note 7.
The dual 48MP + 5MP rear camera and the 13MP front camera take very good photos, and in some cases, amazing shots.
Going through the pictures taken by Mr. Mo at the park, I noticed something peculiar. He cropped one of the pictures he took to show just a small part of the picture. But instead of the cropped part to be a normal blurry picture, it came out with some good level of detail.
Flipping to the front of the phone, in addition to taking good pictures, I can tell you for sure that ladies value the front camera of their phone the way they value a pocket mirror (I know I do). These days, you can easily ditch the mirror for your selfie camera and be sure to check your face in public without feeling embarrassed.
Another inviting and pleasant aspect that makes my top 5 features of the Redmi Note 7 is how much it looks like an iPhone, which is something that Xiaomi has been doing since Eden. This is a very beautiful smartphone and I can’t have enough of it.
I love the screen size of 6.3 inches, the screen resolution of 1080 X 2340 pixels, and the edge-to-edge design that gives it a very pleasant appearance right from first glance. I also find the rouneded edges of the phone very pleasant to look at and to hold in the hand.
Not everyone likes the fact that Xiaomi is always pushing out iPhone-lookalikes, but I am a fan. I love it!
The battery capacity of the Redmi Note 7 is another favourite feature of mine. With a capacity of 4000 mAh, it lasts and lasts. Being able to use a smartphone for a full work day on a single charge is a rare pleasure.
The Quick Charge 4.0 feature scores high too in my books. Charging up a big battery is usually a painfully slow process, but having this feature means the Redmi Note 7 charges up much faster.
A solid battery life is one of my favourite features on any smartphone and is easilly one of my top 5 features of the Redmi Note 7.
To be honest, I was expecting The Xiaomi Note 7 to come with an in-display fingerprint reader when it was first announced. Don’t laugh. Mister Mo laughed when I mentioned this to him, and I am not going to forgive him.
The fingerprint sensor is located at the rear of the smartphone and is fast and accurate. That is better than most in-display fingerprint sensors have been reported to be. So, maybe it is better I didn’t get my wish. We can’t always have it all.
There you have it. The above are my personal top 5 features of the Redmi Note 7. Let’s hear what your other favorites features are. While you are at it, do not forget to see the Redmi Note 7 review.
