Apple was on the global stage again yesterday claiming a number of “firsts” and announcing “innovative” new features as it announced its latest iPhone. Well, Qualcomm wouldn’t hve any of that. the chip maker has taken it upon itself to set the records straight on behalf of its Android smartphone manufacturers.
The list of Android firsts include, among others:
- Quick charging
- Dual cameras
- Iris recognition
- Augmented reality
- Bezel-less design
- AMOLED display
- Water-resistant smartphone
- Bluetooth 5
As you can see from the table, Qualcomm took the pains to list Android mobile phones that featured those firsts, mentioning brands like Samsung, LG, HTC and Motorola/Lenovo.
What a waawu. Pretty much, Qualcomm told Apple to try keep up with the rest of the smartphone industry. If you have seen the Apple iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus, surely you will agree that there is nothing new ubder the sun. Okay, maybe one. Maybe just one.
