Twitter users can now share animated GIFs

Top social network, Twitter, has added a new feature to its service. “Starting today, you can now share and view animated GIFs,” the Social Network announced on its support account some hours ago, with the image of an animated puppy embedded in the tweet.

Users can view any animated GIF by just clicking on the play button that appears in the middle of it. This new feature works on Android and iOS devices, as well as the desktop.

This recent feature might just be a step towards trying to increase its users due to a recent report some weeks back on the declining growth of the social network.

  1. “recent report some weeks back on the declining growth of the social network.” is this true? Seemed to me twitter was enjoying the fastest growth.

All the same, great feature. Highly welcomed.
