Getting 5G Internet on Verizon Unlimited data plans 2019

Verizon Unlimited data plans are a bit of a confusing web and you might need to talk to a representative to iron out some details. But in terms of 5G access, we have all the details you need below.

Available Data Plans on Verizon Unlimited

Verizon’s Unlimited data plans offer subscribers blazing fast Internet, including 4K video streaming. Because of limited 5G coverage for now, you will often find yourself on 4G LTE and it is important to note that video streaming is restricted below 4k at those times. The restrictions vary from one data plan to the other.

The carrier claims that its 5G service is “20 times faster than 4G LTE with virtually no lag time.” Of course, you will need a 5G smartphone to enjoy 5G service on any of these plans.

Each of the available plans, besides Start Unlimited, also have different levels of premium data, after which the user gets throttled. Also, all of Verizon Unlimited plans, again besides Start Unlimited, offer complimentary 5G access. Here is the breakdown.

Start Unlimited: This is a basic plan that gives users unlimited 4G LTE data for just $35 per line per month. If you want 5G Internet on this plan, just add $10/month and you are good. Video streaming is limited to 480p quality when you are outside of 5G coverage.

Play More Unlimited: Includes 5G access with a 5G phone. Cost is $45 per line per month. You can stream 720p video quality on 4G LTE.

Do More Unlimited: This plan has 5G Internet bundled, though it still has that 480p video streaming limit when on 4G LTE. This costs $45 per line per month with five or more lines.

Get More Unlimited: For $55 per line per month, you get 5G access, and 720p video quality streaming outside of 5G coverage areas.
