Vivo sub-brand iQOO has unveiled its latest flagship devices, the iQOO 5 and 5 Pro. Both smartphones share similarities in specifications and design, with the Pro version featuring a 120W fast wired charging technology and a more sporty, edgy back-panel design.

The dual-SIM (Nano) iQOO 5 phone is built around a 6.56-inch full-HD+ (1080×2376 pixels) AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a 19.8:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC operates in tandem with 12GB of RAM, with internal storage pegged at 256GB.

In the software department, this smartphone runs on iQoo UI 1.5 based on Android OS. It packs three rear cameras, with a primary 50MP Samsung GN1 camera that functions alongside a 13MP wide-angle camera, and another 13MP sensor. Up front, a 16MP selfie camera takes care of video calls.

The iQOO 5 packs a 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast charging support and offers connectivity options including 5G, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C, GPS, and more.

This flagship device is available in three storage variants at different price points. The 8GB+128GB model costs $577, the 12GB+128GB variant sells for $620, and the 12GB+256GB model costs $664. Colour options available include the Hao Ying colour and Star Trace.

This smartphone shares a large number of similarities with its sibling device, boasting the same screen size, processor, OS and storage space that the iQOO 5 has to offer.

This device also houses three rear cameras, but has one of its snappers different from the iQOO 5. It boasts a 50MP Samsung GN1 primary camera assisted by a 13MP wide-angle camera and an 8MP telescope sensor. Up front, it also boasts a 16MP selfie camera.

In terms of battery, the iQOO 5 Pro has a smaller pack than its sibling device, with a 4,000mAh battery that offers 120W fast charging support.

This smartphone is available in two storage variants at different price points. The 8GB+256GB model costs $722, and the 12GB+256GB model costs $794. This smartphone is available in Legendary Edition and Track Version colour options.

 

The iQOO 5 series is already available for pre-orders, with sale expected to begin in China on the 24th of August.
