If we told you that vivo NEX Dual Display is an Android smartphone, that wouldn’t be news. But if we added that it has 2 screens, 3 cameras, you would probably ask, Who needs all that in a phone?
Well, perhaps the real question is, Why do you need a selfie camera on a smartphone when you can have two screens? The NEX Dual Display does not have a front camera, and that is because the secondary display serves as a view finder for selfies. As such, the back camera is enough.
And we like it, because it means that your selfies are of the same image quality as your regular photos. You know how front cameras general underperform compared to the back camera.
Take note that not having a front camera means there is no chance of a notch showing up on the display. This is a bezel-less, notch-less display.
The main display is 6.4 inches in size and 1080 x 2340 pixels in resolution, while the secondary display is 5.5 inches in size and 1080 x 1920 pixels in resolution. Those specs look like the two displays are solid. In addition, both are Super AMOLED.
Lastly, the back camera is a triple lens configuration. Yes; 3 cameras at the back. The vivo NEX Dual Display is a handful.

The triple camera configuration is set up as follows:
- 12 megapixels main sensor (Sony IMX363 sensor)
- 2 megapixels secondary sensor
- TOF (time of flight) sensor for 3D mapping
Like we asked earlier, Who needs a selfie camera? Taking your selfies with the back triple camera promises to be much more rewarding.
