The Vivo S9 is set to launch in March, on the 3rd of March precisely in China. This announcement was made by the company through Chinese blog, Weibo. This device is the latest in a line of devices in the S series, with a number of leaks concerning its specs also making the headlines though the company has not released anything official about these specs.

Firstly, the device is expected in two storage configurations, an 8GB/128GB model and a higher end 12GB/256GB model. The Vivo S9 is also touted to feature triple rear cameras and bring two front cameras for selfie lovers (much like its predecessor, the S7 which launched in August last year).

Under the hood, we may see a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset, which was announced last month. This chipset also offers 5G connectivity and is expected to bring an improved experience with this device. A 6.4” display with a 90Hz refresh rate which houses both selfie cameras has also been tipped, as the device is expected to run the Android 11 out of the box.

A 4,000mAh battery with a 33W charging rate is also expected to keep this device powered. The Vivo S9 is expected to bring a similar design to the S7, as we also expect to see more specifications (and maybe price range) before this device’s launch.
