Vivo Z5x Launched With New Chipset And 8GB RAM

The Vivo Z5x (2020) has been launched in China. The first version of the Vivo Z5x was unveiled last year with a Snapdragon 710 SoC but the re-purposed Z5x will house the Snapdragon 712 SoC under the hood with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

This device features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display with a punch-hole cutout housing a 16MP selfie camera. In the rear panel, a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 16MP main sensor accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth sensor take care of photography duties.

On the software front, the device runs the Funtouch OS 9 on top of Android 9 Pie. A 5,000mAh battery keeps this device powered all day.

The Vivo Z5x has three storage variants, a 4GB RAM+64GB model which costs $183, a 6GB RAM+128GB model which costs $197 and an 8GB RAM+128GB model which costs $226. This device is already up for sale in China and is available in black, white and blue colours.
