Google I/O is a yearly event that Google uses to announce and showcase their latest innovations. Last year Android L was announced on the event, even though it’s only still available in about 10% of Android phones. Come this year’s session, we might just receive another announcement of Android M. The event is slated to hold on the 28th and 29th of May, and a screenshot was revealed in one of the scheduled programs, talking about Android M.

Android M for Work

What dessert do you think Android M will be named after ?

Android Authority reports that Google might unveil a feature called Voice Actions. This is an accessibility feature that will allow developers add voice controls to their apps with minimal effort. Something like Google Now with the ability to work for all apps.

Mobile hardware has adopted the touch screen as the primary mode of input. And with 1 billion active Android users, there’s no sign of this slowing down. What if you could provide users with a new method of access to your apps with little to no development overhead? In this talk, we will discuss ways to give anyone access to their Android device through voice alone.
