What's With Opera Mini And Yahoo Messenger For Mobile?

Yahoo Messenger on Opera Mini

I use the Nokia E71, and on this device, Opera Mini is my browser of choice. I also do a lot of chatting via Yahoo Messenger’s mobile site right on Opera Mini.

I have noticed that from time to time, Opera Mini and Yahoo Messenger just have a ‘fight’. As the saying goes, when two elephants fight, the grass suffers. I really do suffer during those periods, as I’m paralyzed instant messaging-wise.

Every attempt to sign in would tell me, “Problem encountered while processing your last request. Error code 200”.

Given some time, they seem to be able to sort out their differences and life goes back to normal.

Recently, these two systems had such a ‘fight’ and this was really bad because it went for three days stretch. Now you can imagine my frustration during that period.

While things have since gone back to normal, I have to ask: Is this issue peculiar to just me or do others have similar experiences?

If you have ever experienced such, did you do anything to solve the issue? What did you do?

Thanks in advance!

  1. could have been network?

I could do every other thing i wanted to do except sign into my yahoo messenger.

Could that really had been network issues?

  2. nimbuzz would be a better alternative. less data consumption and its effective.also ensure you use a network provider that is focused not one that is confused. some have access points that are equivalent to “one size fits all” while some have different settings for fring, yeigo, nimbuzz, opera and ebuddy respectively

  3. Alright i’ll bite. What is such a post doing on here? This is supposed to be a mobile blog n d last time i checked, its not a forum for ymessenger or opera mini. I’m all for crowdsourcing help so long as it is done via the right channels. I did a double tske while reading this postand had to scroll back to the top to confirm that it wasnt written my Mister Mobility. I don’t expect to see something like this on here. Am i alone

  5. From time2time, problems emanate with services. Blackberry, facebook, name it.

Google recently had a problem with cookie management on specific browsers (both mobile and desktop).

When you you try to use most googke service, you get the error, ‘We’ve detected a problem with your cookiesettings.’

    It has since been revolved.

When i have ANY tech_related problem, i do http://www.devilfinder.com‘ search.

If you draw a blank, the problem is peculiar to you..

Otherwise, you are almost sure to find the problem has a solution-if a solution exists…

Just befriend google, bing, clusty, devilfinder and the rest..

  6. sometimes it is difficult to point to the actual cause. Sometimes you may even subscribe that is ‘home trouble’.

Googling your specific problem allows you to ascertain if you are alone with said problem or if it’s just you.

Patience dear; some problems only resolves with time!
