Popular Facebook owned messaging service WhatsApp, has crossed 600 million monthly active users and CEO Jan Koum was quick to announce this on twitter.
The company which crossed the 500 million monthly active users mark just back in April continues to top the list of active users followed by WeChat with a little distant 438 million monthly active users and Viber with 100 million, which leaves me wondering where BBM went.
WhatsApp shows no sign of slowing down with it’s monthly active users growing at a rapid rate. Just last week the company announced they had crossed over 60 million monthly users in India. Though it’s based in the US, WhatsApp is still not as popular as it is in other parts of the world.
