Xiaomi Mi A2 is currently receiving a new update that introduces the September 2020 Android security patch. This update also fixes a number of bugs that have beset the Mi A2 for a while. Some of these bugs cause the split screen feature to disappear suddenly, meaning that certain users could not enjoy using multiple apps simultaneously.
This new update fixes the split screen issue and is also expected to take care of an echo bug that some users have also complained about. The Mi A2 was released in July of 2019 and got the Android 10 update in the early period of 2020.
This update has the build number V11.0.14.0.QDIMIXM and is rolling out stagewise to a number of users. It is expected to be completed in batches and users of the Xiaomi Mi A2 can now check for this update by going to Settings > System > System Update.
Xiaomi Mi A2 users have also reported a number of other bugs, some of which include a camera bug that makes the main camera not focus properly and a Wi-Fi bug that makes switching networks rather slow. There is no word from the company suggesting that these bugs will be addressed in this update, but it is expected that these bugs will be fixed in newer updates.
