The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro looks and feels almost as good as the MacBook Pro

Xiaomi has announced a new laptop. This laptop, known as the Mi Notebook Pro, is supposed to be compared to the MacBook Pro. Or at least, that’s what the company intends. The 15.6-inch laptop has a similar design to the Apple product, a more practical array or ports, and allegedly a superior performance to the Apple MacBook Pro. The best part is that is costs way less than a device with similar specifications.

The Mi Notebook Pro is not as thin as the company makes it seem next to the MacBook Pro, however. But the build quality of the device seems good enough regardless. The Mi Notebook Pro has a trackpad which works similarly to Apple’s Force Touch designs, and it actually feels better than the majority of comparable Windows devices. Furthermore, there is a fingerprint reader built into the trackpad’s top right corner.Mi Notebook Pro

The one thing that might take something away from the design of the Mi Notebook Pro is the screen. According to reports, the color reproduction is good. However, the panel is super glossy, and the resolution is just 1080p, which looks quite pixelated at the size of the screen. There is no option for anything higher. Thus, it is not as good as the MacBook Pro when it comes to editing pictures and videos.

Now, this device would probably appeal to a lot of people because it means that they would not need to pay $1,000 more on a MacBook Pro. According to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, last year’s Mi Notebook Air was ranked number one among slim laptops in China. Thus, the Xiaomi brand has made quite some momentum with respect to the slim laptop.Xiaomi mi Notebook pro

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro will soon be on the market. According to the company, the device will sell for about $850 for an i5 model with 8GB of RAM. The i7 model with 16GB of RAM would sell for about $1070.

  1. Wasn’t it “the new XXX is as good as the Macbook Pro” not long ago? It was the Dell XPS 13, the HP Envy, Microsoft Surface Laptop, Huawei Matebook…

Why do Windows laptops always compare themselves to Apple products and not other Windows laptops? How much better is the Mi Notebook Pro compared to the Huawei Matebook or Surface Pro Laptop?
