Yahoo Messenger for Android
The Yahoo Messenger app for android has just got a bump up to version 1.5.0. The changelog reads:

  • Support for front facing camera on devices with OS 2.3
  • Improved performance and stability

If you have marked your apps for automatic updates, yours should be up-to-date already. If not, you will need to login to the Android Market to manually update it.

To take advantage of the camera, the Yahoo Messenger Plug-in 1.5 is required, so you need to get that from the Android Market too.

  1. nice one.with this does it now mean the front facing camera will serve as a webcam and one can make video calls with it??

  2. @fortespy, yes you are right. i have used the video calls on yahoo messenger in the past but didn’t have support for from facing camera then. the app is also a bit laggy. hope they have fixed that too. cos that was why i stopped using it. other than that, great app especially as it integrates Facebook chat too.
