Just a day or two after I published an article on the horrible user interface of 2Go’s Android app, the service released an update to the app that changed the game. The new app is sleeker and feels like the real deal. Have a look:
Now, if only I can remember my 2Go password. I have attempted to login a handful of times, without success.
After 30 minutes of fiddling with password combinations….
I finally remembered my 2Go password and was let in by the gatekeeper. Turns out I have only one friend on the service and two pending friend requests. Embarrassing! Absolutely. 2Go also says I’m a “Novice.” I guess its payback time for dissing them and not using the service for years.
Anyway, if you have stayed off 2Go because of the less than pleasing user interface, that has changed – at least if you have an Android smartphone. This version 1.0.5 is a much better experience. Yes; it is a much more pleasant-to-look-at and pleasant-to-use mobile app now. Go download it from the Play Store. Happy 2Go-ing!
