The first site I visited was ConsumerAffairs and there was an overall star review rating of 3.9 out of 5 stars. I didn’t find any good reviews of Frontier phone service on the first page so we will start with the bad reviews. A lot of customers were not happy with the internet service, customer service and cancellation issues.
Quite a number of them complained about Company’s tech support, claiming most of the time no technician was sent out to fix or attend to any issues. Some customers also complained about the lack of service of the company. Here’s one of the reviews:
•Avoid using Frontier Communications for your Internet, TV, and phone service– you will sleep better at night and avoid lots of frustration and anxiety. Cheap is no consolation when you cannot communicate. Frontier is by far the worst Internet provider, and their service is deplorable. I own three properties with services provided by AT&T; Flow in Jamaica, and Comcast. The equipment is so far behind these other companies that it is laughable. Most annoying–there is no voice feature on the remote to verbally ask for shows or channels, etc.
The most egregious part of the company is their “no service.” I am currently scheduled for a technician to come out 5 days after the initial disruption of service to get my Internet and TV service restored. This is about the third time I have had to wait between 3 to 5 days for a technician to be scheduled. This is unconscionable!
Now, on to the good reviews, some customers were satisfied with the Company’s tech support, customer service and internet service. Here’s one:
I had my Internet upgraded to fiber optics August 21,2021. The customer service department was cordial and patient with my questions. Options were explained and appointments made. As promised a phone call was made prior to arrival at my home. The service technician was polite, thorough and completed the work within the time limit he indicated it would take. Explained thoroughly upon completion. I could not be happier. The Internet is fast…. And streaming movies are outstanding. Thanks Frontiers for living up to your commitment at my Home.

The other site I visited was Trustpilot and 94% of the reviews on the site were bad. There were very few good reviews on the site and the good reviews I found were happy with Frontier’s tech support, customer service and internet service. Here’s one of the reviews:
•Unlike the majority of reviews, my experience with FRontier has been really positive, Ordered the high speed 500 Mbps both upload and download (which is really great) through the phone they showed up the next day and installed it in a matter of 20 minutes. technicians were professional and answered all our questions. so far the service is great, the internet speed and quality is consistent.
For the bad reviews, a lot of customers still complained about the company’s tech support. A lot of reviews were about promising to send a technician but the technicians never came even after weeks. Customers were also unhappy with the slow internet service and outages and ( according to the reviews) not so friendly tech and customer service. Here’s one of the reviews:
•Signed up for the fiber 500 service via their local sales people. They set up an appointment and waited till that day. On the day of the appointment, they texted several times telling me to confirm the appointment. They also mentioned that if no adult was present at the time of appointment, there would be additional charges applied.
An hour before the final hour from which they stated their installation tech would come out, they send an unexpected text message stating that they cant come out and that the appointment was pushed back 2 weeks later. Called to see what was going on; took forever to get someone on the line just to hear “oh well… what could we do?”… ended up canceling and was told to get an email cancellation confirmation… its been over 4 hours without an email… chirp chirp’ worst, non professional mickey mouse company…
After going through different sites and reading a lot of reviews, it seems like Frontier has a lot of areas to improve on. The feedback from customers are not quite encouraging.
