Samsung Galaxy S10 will have triple camera, in-display scanner

The Samsung Galaxy S10 won’t be official for a long time, but leaks are getting out already about next year’s flagship from Samsung. And those leaks say that the Samsung S10 will have triple cameras at the back.

Now, this is the Samsung phone with 3 cameras to be excited about. The Samsung Galaxy S10 is where the real magic will happen. As said before, the best cameras are always built into flagships.

What Will The Samsung Galaxy S10’s Camera Be like?

The leakster says that the Samsung S10 will have a main camera with dual aperture, a secondary one with an 123° field of view ultra-wide lens, and the third, a telephoto lens.

The megapixel ratings of the triple camera setup will be 12MP, 16MP and 13MP respectively.

Of course, it will have an edge-to-edge display, and probably look like the phone in the image below. Yes; near-zero bezels all round.

A new kind of In-display Fingerprint Scanner

Samsung Galaxy S10 will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. Of course, this means the same will apply to the Galaxy S10 Plus and likely the Galaxy Note 10. The difference though is that this time the scanner will be ultrasonic. Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanners are said to be more accurate and more secure than optical in-display scanners.

It is time to say goodbye to that rear fingerprint sensor spot on Samsung’s flagship devices.

Chipset

The Galaxy S10 range will be powered by an Exynos 9820 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 (for the US market). Both chips are dedicated neural processing units (NPU) and support AI processing.

Lastly, 5G might arrive on the Samsung S10. Samsung will not want to play catch up, as mobile networks in the USA and elsewhere around the world will be launching 5G networks in 2019.

Countdown to the Samsung S10

In all, it looks like the Samsung S10 is going to be revolutionary in more than one way. Expected date of announcement is February 2019, and the phone should start selling within a month of its official unveiling.

We shall keep updating this page with more information as they become available.
