Fortnite Android was first available on the Samsung Galaxy Note9 and was available only to Samsung devices for a period, but the game is now available and can be installed on other Android smartphones. Here are a few things you need to know before installing it on your phone.
First, note that because the game is still in Beta, the game is not available as a Google Play Store app download, so you will not be able to download it directly from there.
How To Get Fortnite Android on your phone
- You need an email invite: In order to play Fortnite Battle Royale on your Android smartphone, you need to sign up on a waiting list. You will be sent an email invite to give you access to download it.
- You need to have one of these smartphones: While Fortnite Android is no longer restricted to just Samsung phones, it is still not compatible with all smartphones. - You need Wifi: Unless you are on an unlimited mobile data plan, you need to have WiFi internet available. After installing the game, you will be prompted to download the Game Tools, which is a whopping 1.88 GB in size.
Once you have installed the Game Tools, you will need to create an Epic Games Account, and then you are ready to play the game. Happy gaming!
