OPPO is rolling out the big guns in its new, global offensive against Apple’s iPhones, with the announcement of 3 new smartphones in the Find X5 series. Let’s introduce you to OPPO Find X5, the top-end OPPO Find X5 Pro, and the more pocket-friendly OPPO Find X5 Lite.
Update: OPPO has also announced the OPPO Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition, a variant of the X5 Pro, which swaps out the Qualcomm SoC for the Dimensity 9000 SoC. It is the first smartphone ever to use this chipset and it is a China-exclusive.
While the X5 and X5 Pro share similar hardware, the latter has a bigger display. The X5 Lite is the smallest of the series and has specs similar to the recently released OPPO Reno7 5G. Of course, the prices are also in that order – with the Pro being the costliest and the Lite being the least expensive.
All four OPPO Find X5 models are 5G smartphones. Also, if you are interested in a microSD slot and 3.5 mm headphone jack, which are fast becoming endangered features on flagship cell phones, the X5 Lite is the only model that has them.
In effect, OPPO is going after Apple’s hold on the premium smartphone market outside China with 3 models, while the 4th (X5 Pro Dimensity Edition) is sold exclusively in China.

Prices and Availability of OPPO Find X5 series
The OPPO Find X5 Pro is available for pre-order from today, and open sales will begin on March 14, 2022. It will set you back by €1,300.
The Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition has a CNY 5799 price tag and availability is likely to be limited to China. Open sales kick off on March 18 in China.
The OPPO Find X5 is also available for pre-order from today at a price of €1,000 for the 8/256 GB option. Open sales kick off on March 14, 2022.
The OPPO Find X5 Lite will be available at a price of €480. Date of availability is not yet official.
