Vivo Y31s has launched as the first smartphone from the company to sport the new Snapdragon 480 SoC. This release follows Qualcomm’s announcement of the 480 SoC as the first in the 400-series to offer 5G support. The Vivo Y31s launched with dual rear cameras and a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC under the hood.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y31s launched with the Funtouch OS 10.5 based on Android 11 and brings 128GB of onboard storage to the table. A 6.58-inch full-HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate accompanies this device. It is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC which supports mmWave and Sub-6 GHz 5G networks, while offering up to 6GB of RAM.
In the camera department, this smartphone’s dual rear cameras consist of a 13MP primary sensor assisted by a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, an 8MP sensor in a waterdrop notch takes care of selfies and video calls.
The Vivo Y31s launched in China with gradient, red and gray color options. It also brings a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging at 18W. It is currently up for sale in China and is expected to reach a number of other regions in the coming weeks.
It is available in two storage variants, a 4GB+128GB variant which costs CNY 1,498 ($232) and a 6GB+128GB model which costs CNY 1,698 ($263).
