Chinese technology company Vivo was scheduled to release their concept smartphone at the MWC 2020, but with its cancellation owing to coronavirus fears, they have had to reveal certain details of this phone through a press release. The Apex 2020 is set to come with an ultra-curved screen and a 16MP front camera integrated into the display.
The Apex 2020 features a 6.45-inch “waterfall” display with a 120-degree curved edges and has a 16MP selfie camera incorporated into the display. The Apex 2020 features a periscope that is capable of 5× to 7.5× magnification with a “gimbal like structure” on the main 48MP camera sensor.
The Apex 2020 is a 5G device that boasts a Snapdragon 865 processor with 12GB of RAM and onboard storage of 256GB. The device runs on the Android 10 OS straight from the box and is believed to support 60W wireless charging.
The battery capacity of the device is yet to be confirmed as at the time of this article, but with a Snapdragon 865 processor under the hood, we would expect something large enough to power it adequately.
With the Apex 2020 set to be officially unveiled today, we will be keeping our ears peeled out to know what the other specs are like and what other interesting features the smartphone possesses that we may have missed.
