In 2019, Samsung sold millions of of 5G smartphones. Till now, there has been no 5G tablet announced, but that has changed with the announcement of the world’s first 5G tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G.
The Galaxy Tab S6 5G has a 10.5-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, and a 7,040 mAh battery. There is 15W quick charge to top the battery up fast. For photography, a 13MP + 5MP rear camera, as well as an 8MP selfie camera in front.
The tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset coupled with Qualcomm’s X50 modem and 6GB of RAM. There is 128GB of internal storage and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G runs Android 10 software with Samsung’s One UI 2.0.
Music lovers will be intrigued about the we have a quad speakers built into the tablet, offering strereo audio quality. The Galaxy Tab S6 5G supports S-Pen stylus and a keyboard Book Cover accessory that makes it possible to use it like a laptop.
Samsung was one of the world’s leading manufacturers of 5G smartphones in 2019, taking second place narrowly behind Huawei. The company has shipped 6.7 million 5G smartphones so far and is clearly looking to get a strong hold of the 5G tablet market.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G goes on sale on the 30th of January 2020 in Samsung’s home country, South Korea. It will sell for KRW 999,900 ($850).
