Vivo sub-brand iQOO launched the iQOO Z1x smartphone last week, with the device bringing a 120Hz display and having the Snapdragon 765G SoC under the hood. Today, the company has added a new product to its lineup, with the iQOO U1 making its debut in the market.
The iQOO U1 is built around a 6.53-inch LCD with a 2340×1080 pixels resolution. In the display’s top left corner, this device houses a punch-hole that has an 8MP selfie camera for video calls and selfie photos. In the rear, a triple-rear camera layout aligned in the top-left corner features a 48MP main camera headlining the setup. This camera is assisted by a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
The Snapdragon 720G SoC keeps this device ticking and it operates in tandem with 6/8GB of RAM and 64/128GB of onboard storage. This device runs the Android 10-based iQOO UI. It has a 4,500mAh battery that charges at 18W, giving it enough juice to support all these features.
The iQOO U1 is available in three storage models, a 6GB+64GB model that costs $170, a 6GB+128GB variant that sells at $200 and the pick of the pack, an 8GB+128GB model that costs $230. It is offered in Blue, Black and White colours and is expectedto go on sale in China from the 23rd of July. As at the time of this report, there is no news yet regarding its availability in other markets.
