South Korean tech company Samsung is currently rolling out its latest security update to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy A50 devices. This firmware is expected in just a number of countries presently and should get to other regions in the coming days.
This update is rolling out in stages in typical Samsung tradition and has the firmware version G770FXXS3BTG2 for the Galaxy S10 Lite and A505FNXXS5BTH1 for the Galaxy A50. Reports from SamMobile say that the Galaxy S10 Lite will receive the August 2020 security patch update in Panama, Bolivia, Trinidad and Tobago, Peru, Colombia, and Paraguay. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy A50 will come to countries like Poland, Netherlands, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, and France.
There are also no reports of any bug fixes or new features with these updates. You can check if the August 2020 security patch is available on your phone by clicking Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. You can also manually download this firmware version on a PC.
With the Unpacked event billed for the 5th of August 2020, a number of new devices will be unveiled to the public.
