While Apple was launching the iPhone X recently, there were other products that were announced that got lost in the hubbub. One of these was the new urBeats 3 headphones. These earphones come with a Lightning conductor and are featured in 3 colors: matte silver, matte gold and black. They’re also moderately affordable, according to Apple.
Apple states that the urBeats 3 earphones feature a fine-tuned acoustic design, with an axial-aligned driver, as well as secure wingtips and magnetic earbuds. Also, there is a Remote Talk button, which is used to activate Siri, receive calls and control your music at just a push. Furthermore, the new earphones are said to come with noise cancellation technology in the advertisements. However, it looks like this is merely passive noise isolation, provided by the cone-shaped silicon tips. Thus, you might want to look elsewhere if what you are after is noise cancellation, or just don’t expect too much.
Now, unlike the urBeats 2 set of earphones, which were white with color accents, the urBeats 3 come in full color. These have been slightly redesigned, with tilted earbuds and a smoother housing. For people who use devices with an audio jack, the urBeats 3 comes in a version with a 3.5mm plug. These come n completely different color options, which include gray, white, black and blue. Thus, you will be able to tell yours apart from those compatible with a new iPhone.
According to 9to5Mac, other devices have been given a color refresh ahead of the new iPhones’ ship date. Currently, the BeatsX earphones now come in matte silver and matte gold. The iPhone Lightning dock is not left out: the device now comes in black, silver, gold, space gray and rose gold.
Apple states that the urBeats3 earphones will be sold for $99.95. The device will be available later this year.
