Apple withdraws iOS 9.3 update for older devices; See why

Whenever a new update is released, (especially software) best advise is to hold off a bit before installing it. Few days ago, Apple released the iOS 9.3 update for all devices. But it appears the the new update comes with a crazy bug. You will have troubles with activation especially if you can’t recall your Apple ID password. Thank goodness I haven’t updated my iPod Touch yet.

This bug is mostly affecting older iOS devices, below is the full list:

  • iPhone 4S,
  • iPhone 5, 5C, and 5S
  • iPad 2, 3 and 4
  • iPad Air.
  • iPad Mini and Mini 2, and
  • 5th Gen iPod Touch

If you’re faced in this situation, Apple advises that you try to reset your password or disable the Activation Lock feature at iCloud.com. You can also connect the affected device to a computer using iTunes. The company is working on a fix for this, so you had better wait a bit before updating your device.
