First of all, news filtered that Cyanogen wants to take Android away from Google, we got more excited when we heard Microsoft has heavily invested in Cyanogen Inc., though that didn’t quite work out. However, it appears that a partnership between the two is bearing fruit, as Cyanogen has announced they will now offer Microsoft apps in their OS in place of Google’s app suite.
These apps include : Bing, Skype, OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook, and the entire Microsoft Office suite.
CEO of Cyanogen Inc had this to say:
“People around the world use Cyanogen’s operating system and popular Microsoft services to engage with what matters most to them on their mobile devices,”
“This exciting partnership with Microsoft will enable us to bring new kinds of integrated services to mobile users in markets around the world.”
It already looks like a match made in heaven.
