Reknowned games developer, Epic Games, have announced an online game store for Mac and PC.
The new store is open to 3rd party developers to sell their games. As such, it offers access to a wide range of titles across multiple platforms.
The store will also be made available for Android in 2019.
The new game store for Mac and PC is open to not just developers that use Epic’s own Unreal Engine, a commercially available game engine, but also to those using other game engines.
In-house titles by Epic Games include: Unreal Tournament, Gears of War, and Fortnite.
Epic Game Store for Mac, PC and Android offers a better deal to developers
Unlike other game stores that charge hefty fees, Epic’s store charges only 12% on developer revenue from sales. This makes it a much better financial deal for developers.
