Facebook wants you to do more video; testing video feeds

Posted by

Believe it or not, Facebook is gradually evolving to a more video-centric social network. In fact, the company predicts they will be mostly about video in the next few years. They’re currently testing a separate video feed that will appear on your homepage – alongside News feed.

The video feed would be like the regular News Feed we know, but it will carry videos shared by people you follow. Opening any such video will bring suggested videos (uploaded by other users). Ad videos would also come up among the suggested videos.

This feature is currently available in iPhone app for Facebook, and is currently being tested among a few users. The service will be rolled out after further testing. Facebook is also trying out a “Save” feature too. This will allow users save videos in lists for later viewing. You can watch a short clip of the testing below.
