I don’t know why all these service providers beat around the bush before eventually landing. Etisalat started it, now Airtel following suit. Lets see who’s next???MTN???? Wrong guess i presume.

Has anyone noticed how slow the airtel service is over the past days. Guess its due to the free trial everyone is currently tapping into. I just hope they can sustqin this and possibly up their network. I had billing issues with them some weeks ago.

@cece its *socialmonth* and not *social month*…..there’s no space between the key words

This is a nice move from airtel. It’ll really be of help to those who weren’t willing to pay N3000 for the full subscription.

Try sending ‘SOCIALMONTH’ in one word… This is the way it was on the sms i got from airtel.

    Very nice one from Airtel.
I put in a one week subscription yesterday and got activated within 2 minutes. So happy with Airtel on this one but with one issue; their BIS is as slow as their data. Anyway, it’s better than Glo. Glo took my N900 last week but refused to activate my bisweek till it expired yesterday in spite of series of complaints to their customer care and lots of reassurances. They are thieves.

Freebies runs down networks. Airtel and etisalat should reduce cost and stop thier data freebies cause the higest speed have gotten from both networks on my nokia c5-00 3.5g(10mbps phone) is 1.06kbps at ejigbo. CAN YOU IMAGINE?

This is bull-shit, how can someone buy a hummer jeep then let it run on tires meant for okada? It mockery of the highest order, if you can’t affort it dump it!!!

all i wanna know is this,is the full plan still on,where i get the web browsing,i wonder why i would pay for either packages and dont get to be able to browse on my phone.I hope the BISMONTH for 3000 is still on,at least with that i can have all the features combined(including web browsing)

The free 30day trial is highly welcome.

With MTN now joining Etisalat and Zain in this half Blackberry service it will be hard for Bis charge to go down again.

Eager to see what Glo will do, if am not mistaken they are the only one with clean BIS&BES

  • July 3, 2011 at 9:09 pm

Actually, all of the GSM operators still run the standard BIS/BES services. These half-bread offers are simply additional services.

    • July 3, 2011 at 9:31 pm

Yes, I meant its only Glo that is not offering this type of special packages. Glo has only BIS&BES but others in addition to BIS&BES have these special packages I call HaflBIS
