StoreDot, a startup that came out of Tel Aviv University’s nanotechnology department, has produced a prototype charger that uses peptides and can top up your smartphone in a blazing record time of 30 seconds. Don’t rejoice too soon. It is not quite ready for commercial production, or for all kinds of smartphones. It charges only the Samsung Glaxy S4 for now and is the size of a laptop.
